Анотація
Виповнилося 100 років від дня народження професора Петра Степановича Пастернака – видатного українського вченого в галузі лісознавства й лісівництва, лісової типології, лісового ґрунтознавства та екології лісу. Лісотипологічні розробки Петра Степановича ґрунтуються на ідеях фундаторів лісівничо-екологічного напряму типології лісів, зокрема академіка П. С. Погребняка, учнем і сподвижником якого він був. Увагу П. С. Пастернака було присвячено різноманітним теоретичним і практичним питанням стосовно взаємовідносин деревних порід у різних типах лісу, лісорослинного і лісогосподарського районування, ведення лісового господарства на зонально-типологічних і програмно-цільових засадах, лісокористування та охорони лісових екосистем в умовах антропогенного навантаження, створення агролісомеліоративних насаджень, зокрема на колишніх сільськогосподарських землях.
